Us
Universal Wire Cloth was incorporated on October 6th, 1976 making
us some 30 years old. We are a family owned and operated business,
specializing in customer service and personal attention.

into their designs, which serve multiple purposes. Custom woven
mesh specifications, as well as standard wire cloth stock materials,

your specification, or roll it from a soft radius to even a small,
tight radius which can form a complete cylinder.

rolling, welding, stamping and slitting to produce your specific

Universal Wire Cloth has "in house" mesh stamping capabilities
to accommodate both long and short run jobs. From solid tooling
to stamp and or form mesh parts, to inexpensive steel rule dies
for short run jobs, UWC can provide you with accurate, precise stampings,
both efficiently and economically.

Architectural Applications
Many of the different industrial specifications made can also be
combined to use in Architectural applications as well. These mesh
specs are used to serve two purposes. One, a functional requirement,
and the other, esthetic value. Such applications include Stair or
Hand Railing Mesh in-fill panels, Window Security and Machine Guards.
Though some of these are made for safety requirements to prevent
possible injury, these specs can also be made to offer esthetic
values.

Wire Cloth Slitting
This is where High Speed and Precision combine with operator skills
to produce high quality, accurate slit to size, wire mesh coils.
Our custom designed Wire Mesh Slitting machines can handle mesh
rolls up to 62" in width and have the capability of slitting
down to as small as 2" wide coils. Our equipment can maintain
accurate slits with 1/32" tolerance.

Universal Wire Cloth Company offers a variety of custom hook screens
to meet all your sifting and sizing needs. UWC offers a huge range
of mesh specifications and can reinforce these with backing meshes.

Wire Mesh and Wire Cloth
Wire Mesh or Wire Cloth is most commonly identified by many used
in Commercial applications such as door and window screening. Wire
Mesh is commonly used in the foundations of our homes and building
to prevent termites from damage or destruction. Wire Mesh or Wire
Cloth is used in attic eves and roofs to allow airflow to prevent
moisture damage.

Custom specs made with certain crimp styles can eliminate the "Industrial"

compatible base metals, as well as openings and crimp styles can
create a unique custom look.

Wire Mesh Product Manufacturing
We have manufactured and supplied wire mesh for use in many applications
which enhance the look and add greater appeal to the surroundings.
Ceiling tiles made from cut pieces of woven Brass mesh, add a distinctive
look which is pleasing to the eye and is an option to standard tiles.
Also our custom woven Brass mesh works well in cabinets and entertainment
centers.

One product which seems to be difficult to find is the mesh needed
to fabricate custom fireplace screens. We have supplied many shops,

UWC's new custom-designed image analyzer-based optical measurement
system assures opening sizes and wire diameters of wire cloth used

Sifter Screens
Universal Wire Cloth Company manufactures customized screens with
canvas bound edges, metal edges or FDA approved plastic edges. We
will fabricate any type of sifter screen to suit your equipment.
UWC offers screens from coarse to fine meshes, in any length or
width. Bondtite or FDA approved edged screens can be furnished with
round or oval grommets and also with center wear strips. Universal
Wire Cloth also offers a unique adhesive edging, which operates
at a higher temperature than the standard Bondtite edging.
